The workshop will give melodeon players a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, techniques and repertoire from two of France’s top players.
Emmanuel and Christian will take two groups in parallel ensuring small group sizes and plenty of time for individual attention. Emmanuel will be concentrating on playing chords with the right hand; Christian on tune-playing technique. The groups will swap over at lunch time so you’ll have a chance to learn both.
You’ll need a 2-row (or more) melodeon in D/G. A recording device would also be useful, although we’ll try to make recordings available to workshop participants after the workshops.
The workshops will be held in Cecil sharp house. Session times will be 10:00–13:00, 14:00–17:00.
The fee for the whole day workshop will be £50.
